
From January 2026, ALL families will be eligible for at least 3 days per week of subsidised care with no activity test required.
All families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
A minimum of 72 hours of subsidized childcare per fortnight per child, which is equivalent to three days per week.
The 72-hour guarantee is provided without a work or study activity test. This means families can access the subsidy even if they are not working or studying the required hours.
Families can get up to 100 hours of subsidized care per fortnight if they meet certain requirements, such as caring for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander child or having more than 48 hours of recognized participation.
